Rangers Swifts denied top spot after 1-1 draw in Laurelvale
There wasn’t much between the sides early on as the pitch was very heavy and Rangers were playing uphill. On fifteen minutes, Nicky Ireland hit the bar with a curling effort but within a few minutes Laurelvale found a way through the Rangers back four and opened the scoring.
The majority of the game was played out in midfield with Dean Gordon coming closest for Rangers before half-time when played in one-on-one but curled wide.

In the 73rd minute, a free-kick on the right side finally provided the equaliser with Christopher McGalddery curling into the bottom corner. Rangers pressed for a late winner but John McCahon failed to conver two decent chances and the Swifts had to settle for a point ahead of the top two clash with Glenavy Reserves this Saturday.
