Cricket group ‘flourishing’ in 1967

Hide AdHe said there had been a ‘fantastic response’ from sports bodies, clubs and youth organisations supporting the group in their protest against the Westminster Government’s plans to legalise homosexuality between consenting adults.
Mr David Johnston paid tribute to the work the group was doing for cricket throughout the whole of the province.
Mr Loney was re-elected as President while local vice-presidents were Miss R. E. Best, J. Carroll, F. Douglas, D. Johnston, R. M. Liddell, D. Nesbitt, J. A. Orbinson, A. Cunningham.
Chairman was J. S. Byrne while S. W. Ferris was secretary/treasurer.
