Murray and Mason run in 10k event
The race started at the Mary Peters track and took in the Malone Road, Lagan towpath, Barnett’s Park and the QUB playing fields before finishing back at the track.
As expected, first home for the club was Christine Murray, who in spite of a heavy cold and still feeling tiredness after her exertions racing at the UK Fire Service Championships in Scotland last week, finished in a respectable 44:34, only 41 secs down from last year, but still doing enough to lift the 1st FV40 prize.
Ricky Mason, still on a high from his endeavours at the Virgin London Marathon, was delighted with his 46:05 and finished well up the field of almost 250 runners.
