Mary Peters Trust is official charity for Lisburn races
Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of the Council’s Leisure & Community Development Committee, said: “It is the first year Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will manage the event and it is fitting that this milestone coincides with the new Half Marathon route.
“I would like to say thank you to event sponsor Coca-Cola for their headline sponsorship and Coca Cola Zone at the finish line. The support of Lagan Valley LeisurePlex is invaluable as it hosts the entrant bag collection, the finish line and medal collection area.

£1 from each entry will go to this year’s Mayoral Charity, The Mary Peters Trust.
The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett, said: “As a runner myself I would like to encourage as many residents and runners from further afield to participate in one of the three races offered.
“The Mary Peters Trust, will benefit from each entry and it provides support to young and talented athletes across Northern Ireland by creating opportunities and developing their existing skills.””
