Local bowlers compete at Home Internationals in Leamington Spa
Conor who was initially named as a reserve, was given a boost when he was called up for the first game against England as a back injury for long standing lead Paul Daly meant he had to pull out. Conor played all three games and played extremely well against England and was also in good form against Scotland. Unfortunately his rink never got going and slumped to three heavy defeats.
DJ, however, enjoyed a more enjoyable weekend as his rink won two games out of three and lost the third narrowly. Playing second on the rink skipped by Neil Booth, the Irish foursome defeated England by five, Wales by four before losing to Scotland by four. DJ can be particularly pleased with his performances against England and Wales when he was in terrific touch.
