Thirteen goal haul for Olympic
The fifth came on 40 minutes after Conor O’Reilly switched the play to Mark Meenan who found Conor O’Hare and he put Mark Loughran away to slot it past the keeper. A minute after the Larne restart Richard McMenemy robbed the defender and the pass to Mark Loughran saw goal number six. A little slackness in the Olympic defence then saw Larne grab a goal but Olympic grabbed their seventh on 45 minutes from a Mark Loughran short corner that found Jonny O’Neill 25 yards from goal but one incredible strike later the ball was in the top corner of the net. Into the second half and on 47 minutes a Conor O’Reilly lob came back off the bar but 5 minutes later O’Reilly glanced a header to the net from a Mark Loughran cross for number eight for Olympic. Number nine came from a Mark Loughran penalty on 55 minutes while a mix up at a corner saw Larne get their second goal on 67 minutes. Jonny O’Neill then got his third and Olympics’ tenth on 70 minutes and it was another great strike from outside the box that left the keeper rooted to the ground. Two minutes later along came number eleven from a Lee Mitchell through ball that Ryan O’Neill controlled perfectly and then smashed past the keeper.
Number twelve came on 82 minutes again from Ryan O’Neill when he drilled a ball from 20 yards that the keeper fumbled into his net and then the 90th minute saw number thirteen when Liam Hoy headed a Declan Doherty to the net. Team: Jamie O’Neill, D Campbell, L Mullan, E McSloy, Jonny O’Neill, C O’Hare, L Hoy, C O’Reilly, M Meenan, M Loughran and R McMenemy. Subs D Doherty, L Mitchell and R O’Neill.
