Respects paid to former player Tommy
Tommy, a former schoolboy international, joined Distillery from Ballyclare Comrades and made his debut on October 11 1941 against Glentoran in a vital Gold Cup game in which he scored.
He would go on to made 221 appearances for Distillery in the 1940s.

Hide AdA winner with the Whites, he scored when the club won the County Antrim Shield in 1945/46 but unfortunately his career suffered a setback following a broken jaw and then a serious illness that kept him sidelined for a while.
He scored 73 goals for Distillery before moving on to Crusaders and Ards.
Such was his stature at the club he represented the 1940’s when the permanent Memorabilia Exhibition opened at the club in 2003.
The thoughts of everyone connected to the club are with the Walker family and his friends at this sad time.
