Hide AdOn Friday the South Belfast League winning Ballymena United u10s travelled to Craig Tara in Ayr to play in the 7-a-side Spring Football Festival.
Ballymena United entered 2 teams and both were successful with 1 team winning all five of their games whilst the other team won three, drew one and lost one (to the other Ballymena Utd team!).
Two Carniny players guested for Ballymena United in the event and a full report will be available next week.
United U-11 4, Lurgan Town 1: Ballymena finished their season with a fairly comfortable win over
Lurgan at Ballymacoss last Wenesday evening.

Hide AdCalvin Purse put Ballymena in front after ten minutes when he fired home a rebound from a Peter
Rankin shot.
The second half saw a much improved Ballymena performance and two quick goals from leading scorer Peter Rankin and Sam Armstrong increased their lead to 3-0 however Lurgan snatched a goal back after some slack defending.
Calvin Purse scored his second and Ballymena's fourth when he got between a Lurgan defender and their goal keeper to stroke the ball into the net.
