Northend United U-10s in fine form as they reach semi-final
Elsewhere in the North West, Brian Martin’s U12s Youth team were in action against Roe Valley but were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline.
With the U8s SSG competition now finished on Friday night, it was down to the U9s on Saturday morning to fly the flag for Northend in Ballymena this week when they competed in an invitational tournament at the Showgrounds organised by Northend’s Football Development Officer, John Devlin, featuring teams from Antrim Rovers, Ballymena United, Carniny and Whitehead Eagles.

Hide AdNorthend Youth 2, Roe Valley 5: Conceding a goal inside the opening minute rocked the Northend boys back and they found themselves 4-0 behind at half-time.
Roe Valley made it five in the second half but this was quickly followed by a Caolan Lennon goal. Sam Crawford also secured a goal for Northend who produced a good second half display.

GIRLS’ PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Building on the strength of the number of girls attending our JBE Football Development Football Centre and our younger 7-a-side teams, the Club is now continuing its All Girls Player Development Centre for girls born between 2009 and 2012.
This continues on Wednesday 11h May from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at St Louis Grammar School Sports Hall.
