Northend U-12s enjoy ‘derby’ bragging rights
Uel Magill’s boys turned in a top performance, running in five goals in the last twelve minutes, to beat their Ballymena neighbours by an 8-1 scoreline.
Elsewhere in the Lisburn League, there was some encouraging performances, including a close fought match by Davy Wylie’s U13s who eventually lost their match against Lisburn Youth by a close margin

Hide AdNorthend United 3, Hillsborough Juniors 4: AFter falling behind, Northend levelled when Jay McKeown got to a loose ball ahead of the keeper.
In the second half, Hillsborough scored twice more before McKeown scored again. Hillsborough put the outcome beyond doubt with a fourth goal before McKeown completed his hat-trick near the end.

Lisburn Youth 5, Northend 3: Northend led 2-1 at the break thanks to two Pat Ferris goals, with a Lisburn penalty sandwiched in between.
Three goals at the start of the second half put Lisburn ahead before Northend scored a third goal but Lisburn put the outcome beyond doubt with a clinching fifth goal.
