Fundraising sees ‘Wee Oliver’ sign for Derry City
Derry City have unveiled their new signing - a five year old boy from Coleraine who needs to go to the US for a life changing operation.
Oliver Dickey’s arrival at the Candystripes Vale Centre training ground as the players were being put through their pre season paces brought proceedings to a halt. The five year old lives with a type of cerebral palsy called spastic diplegia and needs to travel to the States for pioneering surgery. His parents are currently trying to raise the £60,000 needed. Oliver, who was accompanied by his mum Charlene and dad Neil, was presented with a signed City shirt and his very own number 5 Derry jersey.
