Best display of season
Glenavon under 14s recorded their second win of the season on Saturday at Lurgan Junior High School.
The move of the first half almost saw the opening goal. Branker broke from left back and his ball down the line found Joyce who superbly turned his marker before firing a low cross which just evaded the run of Greenfield in the middle.

It was a plea of more of the same from the Glenavon coaches during the half-time team talk but they looked on in dismay as it was Coleraine who came out strongest in the second half and equalised within five miniutes. Glenavon looked a little stunned but quickly composed themselves and Houston rattled the bar with a left foot drive from the edge of the area after a good move. Forsythe’s superb effort from a free kick also struck the crossbar.
Forsythe had another effort which came off the post but this time the home side got the rub of the green as the ball rebounded to the middle of the area where Joyce was on hand to grab a debut goal.
Glenavon continued to dominate and the points were finally wrapped up with five minutes remaining. Forsythe picked out the run of Joyce who outpaced his marker as he bore down on goal before coolly placing the ball past the Coleraine goalkeeper.
