Cycle event raises £4.5k for Hospice
The recent inaugural Billy Kerr Sportive cycling event proved a massive success.
The event, in memory of the former Olympic cycling star from Ballymena, saw cyclists from far and wide converge on Ballymena, from where they embarked upon a route around the famous coast road.
Last week, Ballymena Road Club members handed over a cheque for £3,000, proceeds from the event, to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
A further £1,575 was raised by Billy’s son Neil, bringing the grand total to £4,575.
