Aside from the politics of the club, the Cookstown Hockey Club spotlight is currently shining on a duo not yet willing to finish their playing season: veterans Philip Barbour and Michael Millar are currently preparing to jet off to Rotterdam in the Netherlands to compete in the Masters World Cup for the Irish Over 40s and Over 45s respectfully.
“Both teams have been training hard and playing well throughout practice games,” said Cookstown HC’s re-elected President Michael Millar ahead of the big occasion. “The weather in Rotterdam looks to be in the high twenties which should be a challenge to play in.”
