Chris cleans up with 42 pts
In Section One (0-10 handicap), seven handicapper Chris Black returned the best score of the day with a tremendous 42 points in the worst of the conditions.
He recorded 18 points on the front nine with five pars and four bogies.

Hide AdHowever, on the back nine he turned on the style with birdies at the 10th, 11th, 14th and 17th and only dropped one shot was on the par three 12th for a fantastic back nine total of 24 points.
In second place in Section One was Eddie Gregg (8) on 38 points from Steve Davis (10) also on the same score. Eddie edged Steve out thanks to a better back six, which included an eagle two on the par four 14th.
In Section two (12-19), the winner was Alan Thompson (12), who scored 38 points with J Moore (19) second on 37, edging out Larry Stirling (14) thanks to his better back nine score.
In section (20-28), JP McVeigh (21) claimed top spot thanks to returning 37 points. Second was Jim Porter (22) 36 points thanks to an excellent 22 points on the back nine to finish ahead of J Garland also on 36 points.

Hide AdThe gross prize was won by Ian Moore, a scratch handicapper, with a score of 71.
Ian went round the front nine in 37 shots, and the back nine in one under par 34 shots thanks to eight pars and a single birdie at the 15th.
