Buncrana prove too strong for Banbridge
The first leg was played at Banbridge and team manager Mark Crory was looking for at least a 4-1 win. That didn’t happen.
Jack McKerr won 4 and 3; Luke Crory won 5 and 4; Jamie Thompson won 2 up.
Rory McMullan was unlucky to lose by one hole down.
Josh Crory lost 4 and 3.

Buncrana Golf Club in Donegal is the oldest nine holes course in Ireland. With five par 3’s, it’s not long but it’s a tricky test.
The Banbridge team made the long journey to Buncrana last Saturday. They enjoyed the day but not the result.
Jamie Thompson, Rory McMullan, Josh and Luke Crory all lost their games. Jack McKerr managed to get a half match.

Hide AdBuncrana won the second leg by 4.5 to 0.5. They won the match overall by 6.5 to 3.5.
All we can do is wish Buncrana good luck in round three.
Banbridge now go into the Fred Daly Plate. They could do really well in that competition.
Banbridge fail to
qualify for GUI Senior Cup
The qualifying rounds for the GUI Senior Cup were played last Sunday.
The Banbridge team, captained by Rory Madeley, went to Concra Wood and needed four 77’s to secure one of the four qualifying places. That proved too difficult on the day.

Hide AdRory Leonard was on target with a 76 and Connor Doran wasn’t far away with a 79.
The other three players, Jonathan Ward, Rory Madeley and Luke Woods, got into difficulties and all three failed to break 80.
Once again, the Senior Cup qualifying round proves to be an Achilles Heel for the Banbridge.
