Birdie blitz for Alastair as Price is right for John
Alastair came out on top in the Long Kesh Cup, played for on gross scores while John was the pick of the players with handicaps of eight or more. He lifted the Postle Cup on stableford points.
Alastair Symington got his round off to a great start with two birdies and completed the front nine in 35 after dropping a stroke at the ninth.

Hide AdHe went three under par following birdies on 14 and 16 but finished with two fives for a back nine of 37 and a round of 72 for 36 points to win the Long Kesh Trophy
Josh Robinson was second after completing the course in 73 for 35 points. Back to back birdies at four and five helped him reach the turn in 36. His only concession to par on the back nine occurred at the 11th.
Gary Campbell and Aaron Marshall finished with 32 points. Aaron had two nines of 38 for 16 points each. Gary had 18 points on the front nine after going out in 36. He came home in 41 which included a ding at 11 for 14 points to lose out to Gary on count-back for third place.
Three competitors tied on 39 points in the Postle Cup: John Price (9), Josh Hamilton (9) and Philip Norrby (10). Philip had the best front nine with 22 points, followed by Josh on 21 and John on 19. Ties are decided on the back nine holes so John was placed first followed by Josh with Philip third.
