Ballymena under-7s put in strong performance at festival
The Ulster Clubs’ Mini Rugby Committee arranged the Domino’s Ulster Rugby Mini Rugby Festival at Belfast High School Former Pupils RFC.
A significant number of clubs from throughout Northern Ireland participated in a morning of intensive matches.

Hide AdThe Ballymena side won all matches apart from their final match, where they drew 3-3 against Bangor.
The boys had an opportunity to meet with Paddy Jackson, Craig Gilroy and Sparky the Bear at the end of the festival.
Under 7 is foundation level in rugby consisting of non-contact touch rugby. The Ballymena U7 squad this season has developed strongly, one of the largest in Northern Ireland, with 35 children supported by 11 coaches.
Coach: Roger Alexander said: “Mini rugby enhances individuals beyond just sporting ability and these life skills assist their youth development.
“We are fortunate to have such strong support by parents every week and a great bunch of kids who are so enthusiastic about the game, even at this early stage,” added Roger.
