Work begins at Wallace High School
During the visit the Minister cut the first sod for the construction of a new extension and refurbishment of the existing school building to include technology-systems, art rooms, PE and Home Economics accommodation. This work is being carried out as part of the Department of Education’s School Enhancement Programme.
Speaking during the visit, the Minister said: “This £3.188million investment will soon culminate in a new extension and refurbished areas within the existing school building.

Hide Ad“This will provide modern, state of the art facilities for young people to learn in and for all the school staff to benefit from.
“Ongoing investment in our schools estate is essential if we are to continue to provide a high quality education. As well as the investment in our schools estate, it also helps the local economy and secures construction jobs.
“I thank everyone involved with this project for their hard-work and commitment in taking the project forward and wish everyone well for the future.”
