Woman rescued in Magherafelt as thunderstorms bring floods
A woman had to be rescued from her car in the Magherafelt area after severe thunderstorms struck parts of Mid Ulster on Tuesday evening.
In Moneymore, sand bags were placed at the doors of houses in Hammond Street as flood water threatened to swamp homes.
The Fire and Rescue Service said it received 33 calls from across Magherafelt, Moneymore and Omagh over a six-hour period.
