Woman caught driving with no licence or insurance for car
A 37-year-old woman who '˜took a chance' to drive without having a licence or insurance was banned from driving for a year last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
Kerry Devlin, Scarva Walk, Banbridge, was also fined £100 for not having insurance and £100 for not having a licence. She was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that on September 6 last year she was stopped while driving on the Brookfield Road, Banbridge.

Hide AdShe told police she had a licence and was insured but checks revealed she did not have a licence or insurance.
Her solicitor said that on this evening the defendant and her partner were trying to get a taxi. He added that she took a chance by taking her partner’s father’s car.
