Woman '˜called cops for lift home'
When police got there it was apparent to officers they had only been phoned “to get a lift home” from Ballysally in Coleraine and although the woman was very drunk there were no concerns for her welfare, a prosecutor told the court.
She was speaking as Nicole Kathleen Deborah Christie (24), and her boyfriend Alan McNaugher (27), both of the same address at Ramsey Park, Macosquin, appeared side by side in the court last Monday for sentencing on charges they both faces of disorderly behaviour and resisting police on May 6

McNaugher also hit it and struggled with police.
A defence lawyers said matters had arisen in Ballysally and they had to get out of the area and the call to police was a “ruse to get out of there” but that both defendants now regret what they had done.
Christie was bound over to keep the peace for two years on the sum of £350 and put on Probation for six months and McNaugher was given a two year conditional discharge.
