Wendy decided to start new business after being encouraged to '˜Go for It'
Wendy wanted to start a new chapter in her life and self-employment offered her the ideal opportunity to decide on her work-life balance.
She met Patricia, a business adviser at Lisburn Enterprise Organisation, and received assistance with a free business plan. It showed that her business idea would make a profit and she could receive a wage.

She makes her own products in a variety of fragrances including lime, fresh cotton, jasmine, citrus burst and bubblegum.
Her business has been doing so well that Wendy recently took up a pod at Penny Square Market, Haslems Lane.
Cllr Mackin said it had been “very beneficial” to meet up with a Go for It participant and get an insight into the opportunities offered by the council-managed programme.
He urged any residents of the Lisburn and Castlereagh area who are thinking of starting their own business to contact the Go for It team on 0800 027 0639 or to log on to www.goforitni.com
