War Memorial clean-up welcomed by McAfee
In a statement, Cllr. McAfee said: “Back last November I was asked by the Royal British Legion to see if the Council would do something to have the War Memorial tidied up.
“I was shown amongst others the broken slabs and agreed that improvements needed to be made. I especially thought that given that this year when there is to be a number of important events, the state of the War Memorial was totally unacceptable.
