Talk on jugs at Templepatrick WI
Margaret Torrens, from neighbouring Muckamore WI, was guest speaker and brought with her a selection of her 80-plus jug collection.
Starting with the smallest - from a child’s tea set that Margaret would have loved to own in her childhood, members were introduced to jugs of all shapes and sizes which brought back memories of Margaret’s travels in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland or of friends and family, ending with the largest jug which - in her youth - graced the washstand in the guest room of the family home.
