Special needs concerns for Larne borough
Councillor McKeown said:“The purpose of the meeting was to speak to those directly involved in the education of special needs children and to look at what is available for them when they leave main stream education.
“When you compare facilities available for disabled and special needs children when they leave school in areas such as Ballymena, Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus, the reality is that Larne and the Glens is sadly lacking in comparison.

I will be raising why we are transporting children to centres miles from home instead of investing in programmes closer to home.”
