Three-legged Patch is happier now

Hide AdPatch is a four year old male Jack Russell, he was struck by a car and had his leg shattered in multiple places.
For months his previous owners neglected to take Patch to a vet to have the leg seen too.
At this stage the USPCA became involved, as it was a case of neglect and he was subsequently removed from the owners care.
We at Benvardin we contacted by staff from the USPCA to see if we could take Patch in and in doing so he was seen straight away by our vets, Coleraine Veterinary Practice, who recommended to amputate the leg as it was so badly damaged, and as it had remained untreated for so long Patch had no longer been putting any weight on it but would have been in severe pain.
