Plans refused over access roadwhich is already being used
That was the question posed to Planners by councillor Maurice Bradley at Tuesday’s meeting of Coleraine Borough Council’s Planning committee.
Planners had informed councillors of their intention to refuse an application for the retention of an extension to an EXISTING car breakers yard at Belraugh Road in Ringsend.

Planners refused councillors’ requests for a one month deferral for discussions to take place.
Paul Duffy from the Planning Service said that if there were new drawings then a new planning application would have to be considered, however, he added, the applicant had informed his office that he wished to appeal their decision.
Among the reasons for the refusal was inadequate access to the business.
However, Cllr Bradley was puzzled at this.

“This doesn’t make sense.”
It was agreed to defer the decision for a fortnight to allow further discussions.
