Penalty points after insurance oversight
An insurance payment oversight on the part of a 47-year-old woman led to her receiving six penalty points last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Fiona Coleman, Derrytrasna Road, Derryadd, was also fined £250 for driving without insurance on August 15 this year.
A barrister representing the defendant said she had been paying for her insurance each month over the phone.
She explained that her client had a history of late payments and her insurance company would contact her but on this occasion it was an oversight on her part. She was now fully insured.
