Paris terror attacks: Mayors pass on '˜heartfelt sympathies' to French Consul
The French Honorary Consul, Regine McCullough received the books, formally recording the numerous expressions of sympathy, during a meeting organised by Mid and East Antrim Mayor, Councillor Billy Ashe, in his parlour at Carrickfergus Town Hall.
Speaking after the event, which was also attended by the Mayors of Ards and North Down, Causeway Coast and Glens and Lisburn & Castlereagh, Cllr Hogg commented: “It was very important for me to be able to meet the French Honorary Consul, Regine McCullough and be able to offer my own personal condolences for the bereaved in this horrific terrorist attack, as well as those of the whole borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey.”

Hide AdOn receiving the Books of Condolence, Regine McCullough said: “I am very humbled by this incredible reaction of grief and sadness felt and expressed by so many people all over Northern Ireland and in all the boroughs represented here today in particular.
“I wish to thank each and every person who took the time to write their words of support to the relatives of the victims of the Paris attacks and to the people of France in general. Merci beaucoup.”
