Time for council to take robust action on fouling
However the amount of dog poo left on the pavement and grass areas is disgraceful and has clearly been done by dogs of local residents.
From the number of articles and letters I have read in your paper this is obviously a citywide problem.

It is time for the Council to take robust enforcement action instead of deploying machines and staff to clean up after irresponsible dog owners which costs ratepayers money.
Perhaps the Council could tell us how many people have been fined or prosecuted in the last 12 months for allowing their dog to foul, without the need for a freedom of information request being made.
On the current campaign of ‘Bag it Bin it’ perhaps the Council could look at installing more bins in residential areas as this may help, but the absence of a bin is no excuse.
