DUP committed to best rate for residents
For a number of months staff have been going through the budgets and in the last number of momths we have been scrutinising the budgets and several committees have had special meetings to look in further detail at how we can best manage the proposed budgets.
In 2011 the DUP made a commitment, which was endorsed by the people of Lisburn, to secure below inflationary rate rises. The Council has committed and will continue to commit a huge amount of resources into leisure services, improving leisure facilities. We have just completed phase two of the Wallace Park and work is underway at Alberdelghy Golf course as well as various new multi uses games area and play parks and new football cages at the Leisureplex.
