Magherafelt Christmas Market is back!
A array of 25 artisan food and craft stalls selling local high quality products, will be the centrepiece of the 2016 market, the first event to be held in the newly refurbished town centre! Enjoy browsing and sampling the locally produced food and drink, or take time to unwind in the lounge, where you can experience a craft beer, hot mulled wine or even just sit and relax. There will be lots of hints and tips for Christmas feasts and local bands and school children will perform in the marquee over the weekend.
You can vote for your favourite taste too, as local butchers will compete for the crown of “Magherafelt’s Best Banger” or why not enter the Christmas Jumper Competition taking place on Sunday 4 December?

Hide AdCome along to the Bridewell to visit Santa in his grotto and enjoy some festive storytelling with Mrs Claus on Saturday 3rd from 3.30pm – 6.30pm. Spaces are limited.
All wrapped up in this smorgasbord of treats will be Magherafelt’s Christmas Lights Switch-on on Saturday 3rd December at 7pm, with Santa of course, and the evening of festive fun finishing with a spectacular fireworks display.
Chair of Mid Ulster district Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, is looking forward to the buzz the Market brings to the town. “The Magherafelt Christmas Market is one of the Council’s most popular events drawing huge crowds to the town. This year’s Market is even more special as it will be the first event to take place in the impressive newly refurbished town centre. What a perfect opportunity to showcase the significant improvement works!
“The fact that the Light Switch On will take place as part of the Christmas Market weekend adds to the festive atmosphere in the town, truly commencing the count-down to Christmas. I am definitely looking forward to sampling all the magnificent produce that will be on offer throughout the weekend!”
