The lucky winners were presented with their ‘Red Ted’ prizes just before Christmas during a fundraising bag pack at Sainsbury’s Carrickfergus store.

“The very generous people of Carrick donated a total of £1,658 during the day, for which we are most grateful.
“We also took the opportunity to present our ‘Name Me Claim Me’ winners with the Red Teds they had won by correctly guessing their names.”
Bears were presented to Oliver Mercer (6), William Hopkins (10), Naomi Perry (10) and Deirdre Hammond, who is a member of Sainsbury’s staff.
Lorraine McCalmont also won a bear.

Having raised £40,000 during the 2013 Wings Appeal, this really sets us up well for a splendid start to the 2014 campaign.”
The Wings Appeal is the RAF Association’s campaign that helps raise vital funds needed to support serving and ex-RAF personnel and their families.
