WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE (DELIVERED BY LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER DANNY GIBSON)
Lough Neagh Discovery Centre
This is the third in a series of courses that will be taking place throughout 2014. This session will concentrate on mammal and nesting birds. Day 1 will be spent indoors and will include licenses and legislation, tracking and behavioural signs. Day 2 will include hands on practical demonstrations of photographing native mammal and nesting bird species. This course is open to all levels of expertise. Numbers are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Outdoor clothing and own photographic equipment is required. Cost: £60.00 for the 2 day course (morning break and lunch provided.)

BAT WALK & TALK
Edenvilla
As the light fades, join the Conservation Team and enjoy a short talk on the bats found in the area. Children’s activities and refreshments will be provided by Alliance Youth Works. We will then go for a walk in search of bats in the park using Bat Detectors. This is a family event suitable for children aged 7 years and over. £4 per adult, £2 per child, family of four £10.

As part of Craigavon Borough Council’s Biodiversity Plan we are calling all keen environmentalists or those with a love for the great outdoors. We aim to remove Himalayan Balsam – an invasive species that is threatening the Bann Towpath’s woodland and native species. This year celebrates Lurgan Show’s Centenary and proves to be an event not to be missed. Family fun filled day with classes for sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, poultry, horses and ponies. Also large Home Industries Display in adjoining Kings Park Primary School. Craft marquee and various stalls as well as many varied exhibits ranging from falconry to stunt bike displays. Catering marquee on site as well as funfair, bouncy castles and quad bikes. Pet show commences at 2.30 pm, magic show at 12 pm and 4 pm. Come along for a great day out.
