Locals urged to join Vanessa on Praxis walk challenge
The challenge is to climb the twin peaks of Carrantuohill (Co Kerry) and Slieve Donard (Co Down) over the course of the weekend to raise funds for the work of Praxis.
Individuals need to raise £495 and this covers the cost of transport, food and accommodation for the weekend.

Hide AdPraxis Care provides care and support for adults and children with learning disabilities, mental ill health and acquired brain injury.
In the Lisburn area Praxis Care provides the following services: The Secret Garden, Hillsborough - a workskills programme for 18 adults with a learning disability; St Paul’s Court, Lisburn - a purpose built accommodation consisting of 15, two bedroomed bungalows and eight self contained apartments and Parklands - an eight place house where residents receive a support service from 24 hour staff.
Vanessa Coulter, Manager of the Secret Garden said: “I am delighted to be signing up to the Praxis Care Twin Peaks Walk Challenge. I hope that many people in Northern Ireland will take on the challenge.”
Paul Collins, Assistant Director Fundraising & Communications, Praxis Care said: “All monies raised from the event will go towards supporting Praxis Care’s fantastic work in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and England for vulnerable adults and children.”
