Larne woman celebrates her 100th birthday
Colebrook Residential Home resident Robina Kelly marked the occasion with a party for 20 friends and family at the home just before Christmas.
Owner of Colebrook Residential Home Anne-Marie Rowan said that the sprightly centenarian had thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, along with the royal greeting.

Hide AdAnne-Marie told The Times: “Robina was very pleased to receive the telegram from the Queen, which bore the Queen’s photo on the outside.
“She was showing it to everyone, and she thought it was lovely.
“On December 23 quite a lot of her family came to the home, around 20 people, and then the next day we had another party among the residents of the home. You deserve it when you get to 100!”
Four generations of the Kelly family gathered together for the family party, with Robina’s son Charlie, grandson Philip and great-grandson Reuben attending. Anne-Marie continued: “Robina was delighted and excited to have them all there, She’s a lovely wee lady, as bright as a button and very alert. She knows everything that’s going on and is in good health.”

Hide AdRobina lived in her own home with support from family and friends until three months ago, when she moved into Colebrook.
Anne-Marie continued: “She has adapted well to the home and is popular. She would come down for all her meals .
“She’s still going strong.
“I would like to take this opportunity to send Robina our best wishes on her 100th birthday.”
