Larne: police searches in marine's estate
According to local sources, four PSNI Land Rovers, a forensic van and several police cars are at a house in the mainly nationalist Seacourt Estate while a search of a property is being carried out. The area is understood to be peaceful.
Police have not been available to comment.
It is understood Ciaran Maxwell, a serving royal marine currently in police custody, lived in the same estate. It was confirmed this evening that the police have been given an extra five days to question him with regards to Northern Ireland terrorism.
