Final farewell for local haulier
Well known throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and beyond, Mr Sloan, of Sloan Transport, is understood to have taken a fall while working with a lorry .
Police, who received a report of Mr Sloan’s subsequent death at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital, confirmed they were not treating his death as suspicious.

Hide AdLatterly of Howe Road, Dromara, the father of five, aged in his 60s, was predeceased in recent years by his wife Moyra.
He is survived by sons Kenneth, Alistair andDerek and daughters Cassandra and Katherine.
Local Ulster Unionist Councillor Olive Mercer recalled Mr Sloan as a very well known individual and a successful local businessman.
His death, she said, had come as a great shock to all who knew him.
“He was very well liked within the community and known for having a nice, outgoing personality,” she added.
