Family film fun with Lisburn in Focus
As a parent of a child with sight loss, meeting other families who are in a similar situation can be difficult. This event is intended to give families a setting in which to meet each other and socialise and, more importantly, have some fun.
The event, on Saturday June 9, starts with lunch organised at Ed’s Bar and Grill at Lisburn Leisure Park at 1pm followed by a family film at the Omniplex at 3pm. The film will be audio described, so this is a good chance for families to try out the headset service that’s available in Screen 3 at the cinema.

Hide AdClaire Patience, Lisburn in focus Project Co-ordinator, said: “Lisburn in Focus is working to try and make the Lisburn Council area as welcoming, accessible and inclusive as possible for blind and partially sighted people but we are very aware that we have not been able to reach families with children who have sight loss.
“There are different parts of the project that can benefit the whole family - such as the home security equipment - and we would like to be able to tell people about them.”
If you and your family would like to go along, get in touch with the Lisburn in Focus team on 9260 0388 or email [email protected] by June 1.
