Search is on for local sustainable champion
To nominate, simply ‘like’ the Calor Facebook page, enter the Sustainable Community Champion app, provide the name of your nominee/group, contact details and in 250 words explain what type of sustainable measures and initiatives you would put in place over a six-week pilot project and the results you want to achieve.
A spokesperson said: “This can be a person, young or old, or a group, who give their time, skills and expertise to improve the lives of people in their community by increasing its sustainability effort and reducing its impact on the environment, anything from organising a local clean-up or putting in place a recycling drop to improving energy awareness or setting up a ‘bring and take’ event.”
