Hide AdActing Chair of Banbridge District Arts Committee, Pat Mulligan, said, “This festival is firmly embedded in the cultural fabric of the Banbridge District, and we’re delighted to be delivering another exciting programme that reflects the district’s cultural growth. The year’s festival is focused on enabling communities to explore as well as experience the arts. Regulars and newcomers alike are welcome to join us in celebrating the very best of music, literature, theatre and visual arts over the festival period.”
The festival will kick off with a special exhibition featuring the works of local artists who are members of Banbridge Art Club. Banbridge Camera Club too will hold an exhibition featuring the work of local photographers during the final days of the festival. Both exhibitions will be held within units at The Outlet, Banbridge and admission will be free.
The festival’s biggest, best and most exciting events will unquestionably be the live performances at the Iveagh Movie Studios, Banbridge. ‘With a Song in My Heart’ sees former UTV chat show host Gerry Kelly takes to the stage on October 26 to interview Peter Corry about his musical career. Peter will perform songs throughout the interview.
