Drunk man arrested in hospital
McGuigan was taken to hospital shortly after 4pm and refused medical treatment. He was so intoxicated he was incomprehensible, could not stand or walk unaided.
Defence counsel Nicola Coulter said her client had an extensive record arising out of his long standing alcohol problem, adding he would be dead within a year if he did not stop drinking.
