Day Centre attendees enjoy relaxation class
The breathing exercises, gentle movements and improved circulation associated with the yoga sessions have appeared to improve the strength of the participants who took part in the six week programme.
One Tai Chi participant said: “I really enjoy the Tai Chi. It helps relax me. The class has lots of relaxation tips.”

Hide AdAnother participant added: “Aromatherapy gives the spasms in my legs great relief.”
Another attendee who joined in all three programmes said: “This is the first time I have experienced these activities and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself.”
Yoga instructor Sayon Cheung-Mulligan explained: “Yoga has a number of health benefits including reducing blood sugar and bad cholesterol, improving levels of calcium and overall higher levels of happiness.
“In people with diabetes for example, yoga has been found to lower blood sugar by lowering cortisol and adrenaline levels, encouraging weight loss, and improving sensitivity to the effects of insulin.”
