Shopliftingcouple sentenced
Brendan Coulter (37) and Shauna McLarnon (30) both of Greenvale Park, Magherafelt, stole four CD’s from ASDA, Cookstown on November 9th last year.
A PPS solicitor told the court that staff inside the supermarket observed Coulter remove security badges from the CD’s and give them to McLarnon. When they approached the tills they paid for other items, but not the CD’s.

Both admitted to taking the items without paying under interview.
Deputy District Judge Archer noted that Coulter had previous convictions of a similar nature, and that McLarnon had been cautioned in the past.
“I appreciate that things may be difficult financially but they can’t steal things belonging to other people,” he said.
