Councillor Curran said, ”This incident, caused distress to local people, disrupted life in this rural community and diverted the local police from their daily job of combating the scourge of illegal drugs, burglary and theft and violent assaults that affect all of us.”
While no-one has yet claimed responsibility for the device, Mr Curran said some people think there is a small group who may have been involved.
