It follows a report of antisocial behaviour in the Sunnylands Avenue area of the town in the early hours of Sunday, April 18.
Sergeant Todd said: “We received a report, at around 12.40am, that a group of young teenagers had gathered in the area. They appeared intoxicated and were generally causing a disturbance, including being verbally abusive.

“While we are committed to keeping our communities safe, the issue of antisocial behaviour cannot be addressed by police alone.
“Parents and guardians need to know what their children are doing outside of the home and to make it clear that underage drinking and any behaviour that impacts negatively will not be tolerated. Young people could find themselves with a criminal record, which has all sorts of implications for future opportunities.”
Sergeant Todd also reinforced the need for people – of all ages – to be mindful of the current health regulations with a view to safeguarding one’s wellbeing and protecting the health of others.
