Crook soldwater bottlesas laptop
The incident occured in the Foyle Street area on Tuesday, August 21.
At approximately 2.30pm a male in a red car offered a member of the public a number of laptops, iPhones, and iPads for sale.

Hide AdThe man handed over a sum of money for the items and was handed a laptop case that contained only two bottles of water. The car then made off.
Police urged the local community to be vigilant against all types of scams, particularly where you may be offered items for sale under suspicious circumstances.

If you are approached by someone on the street offering goods for sale that appear too good to be true, they probably are.
