Casualities rescued from Slemish
NWMRT were called out to two separate incidents at around 2pm.
Both casualties were 11 year old children and while one was assisted to the bottom of the mountain, under advice and guidance from the team, the second casualty was hypothermic.

Hide AdMedical aid was rendered by the St John Ambulance and the casualty was stretchered from the mountain to an ambulance by volunteers of the NWMRT who had been training nearby.
NWMRT Team Leader John Binns described the evacuation of the casualty as "an efficient extraction of a vulnerable child made easier by the co-operation between the NWMRT and the St John Ambulance."
