Big turnout for cruise night in memory of Alan Drennan
Alan, an apprentice mechanic who had a great love of cars, died suddenly while on holiday in Ibiza last month.
The circumstances surrounding the 21-year-old Newtownabbey man’s death remain unclear, and his grieving family are awaiting the results of a second post-mortem examination.

Hide AdThere was a big turnout at Sunday night’s Memorial Meet, with a number of spectacular modified cars, including Alan’s pristine red Volkswagen, on show at Northcott car park.
Among those who attended the event were Alan’s father, Alan snr, and brothers, Lee and Karl.
The cruise night, organised by Alan’s friends, raised a grand total of £3,500 for the appeal set up in the days after his tragic death.
The money will be used to support the Drennan family and the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Hide AdMeanwhile, a group of Alan’s friends have requested that electronic music act Above & Beyond dedicate their track ‘Satellite’ to Alan at their upcoming Belsonic gig in Belfast.
The song, which contains the words You’re half a world away, was Alan’s favourite.
